Since its inception in 1999, HLIC, a self financed commerce institute, has striven hard to carve out a niche for itself in the field of commerce education. It has aimed at establishing itself as a center for excellence. It strongly believes that sound academic performance of the students at the university examinations is a top priority. The approach of the faculty has been to prepare students to perform at their optimum level by providing them with the best of education accompanied by impeccable standards of self-discipline and motivation.
HLIC is one of the 19 educational institutions run by Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), a premier educational trust established in the pre-independence era in western India. Along with excellence in academics, the institute also stresses on the all round development of the students through various intellectual and cultural activities.
Over the years, HLIC has become a force to reckon with in the academic arena.
With the establishment of Ahmedabad University in 2009, HLIC became a part of the Amrut Mody School of Management and a constituent faculty for undergraduate education in commerce.
